I am a Scottish primatologist and National Geographic Explorer studying the ecological requirements of the hooded capuchin in the Paraguayan Atlantic Forest. I have lived in Paraguay since 2013 where I work as the primatologist and Executive Director of Fundación Para La Tierra. I have PhD in Conservation Science from the University of Aberdeen.

I have more than 10 years of experience working primates including chacma baboons (and other non-primate wildlife) in Namibia, mantled howler monkeys and red-backed squirrel monkeys in Panama, rhesus macaques in Puerto Rico and hooded capuchins and black-&-gold howler monkeys in Paraguay.
I believe that education is essential for successful conservation. I am heavily involved in education initiatives including supervising undergraduate and masters level projects on the behaviour of the urban black-&-gold howler monkey population of Pilar, Paraguay and carrying out environmental education in schools in rural Paraguay.
